Rap-Themed Video Games That Should Exist

I’m a big fan of listening to rap music and playing video games. Luckily, there have been a few games where you can enjoy a good Biggie or Tupac tune, such as DJ Hero and Def Jam Rapstar. But that’s not enough! We need more rap-themed video games to keep our booty shaking as we shoot and blow stuff up.

In my fantasy world, the following rap-themed games would exist to fulfill my love/obsession of the two hobbies:

My Top 20 Favorite Horror Movies

I've seen a LOT of horror movies in my life. In fact, I saw a lot early in my life. I've been watching them since I was about 5 or 6 years old. While some parents were strict and didn't allow their kids to watch MTV or other cable shows, my parents let me stay up on the weekend and watch Tales from the Crypt and rent Halloweens 1-27 (or however many there are).

Cute Pug Quotes Memorable '80s Movies

My pug Isabella, a.k.a. Issie, a.k.a. turd head, is one of a kind. Okay, she's probably just as gassy and stinky as any other pug, but I guarantee that she snores louder and barks softer than any other pug you know. Plus, she has a special place in her heart for the '80s, just like I do.

15 Indie Rock Bands with Animal Names That You Should Listen To

Indie rock music, which is often compared to alternative rock music, is supposedly the kind of music that hipsters and self-proclaimed "music snobs" listen to. Although I am neither, I like to think that I listen to indie rock because a) the music is original and good; b) most of these bands started with humble beginnings and worked their way up the college radio scene; and c) the bands give great live performances.

20 Best Love Songs of the '80s

If there's one thing that I love about the '80s (besides the banana clips, oversized sweaters, high tops, hair spray and acid wash jeans), it's the music. With the launch of MTV in 1981, the music of the Buggles, Run DMC, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bon Jovi and countless others could be blasted into your living room on a daily basis. Or, you could listen to you favorite hair sprayed or mini-skirt wearing musicians from your boombox or Sony Walkman.

5 Best Rap Scenes from '80s Movies

Everything about the 1980's was bigger and better: the bangs, the earrings, the belts, the sweaters and most importantly, the music. Okay, maybe not all of the synthesized cheesy pop music was better, but the rap music definitely was.

20 Best '80s Sitcom Theme Songs

When I think of 80s television, a few fond memories come to mind: wishing that Tony and Angela would finally get together, admiring Uncle Jesse's hair, continuously repeating "What'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis?," imitating Vicki the robot and swooning over George Clooney in The Facts of Life.

My 20 Favorite Childhood Toys from the '80s

A few years ago I was working at a bookstore and one of my coworkers said, "I was born in 1990. I completely missed the '80s." My first thought was, "Damn, I'm old." My second thought was, "You poor, unfortunate soul." Not only did he miss out on side ponytails, snap bracelets, hair-sprayed bangs, the baddest 10 years of Michael Jackson mania and "Star Search," but he also never got to play with some of the coolest toys ever made.

4 Sad Indie Rock Love Songs

We all have certain sad love songs that remind us of special (and not-so-special exes), first loves and heartbreak. We put them on repeat late at night in our college dorm or drove around town listening to them on a special "Feel Sorry for Myself" mix CD.

10 Reasons Why Pee-Wee's Playhouse Was Awesome

As a child/teen of the '80s and '90s, I've watched a lot of kid shows that have left a lasting impression on me. Some of my fondest memories include: singing Ren and Stimpy's "Happy, happy, joy, joy" song, listening to Lion-O's deeply soothing voice on ThunderCats, studying the consistency of the green slime from You Can't Do That on Television, learning life lessons from Clarissa Explains It All and pretending I was a hero in a half shell just like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

5 Horrible Horror Movies You Must See

I've been watching horror movies for as long as I can remember. Whenever my father was around (which wasn't much), his idea of quality family time would be to sit in the living room and watch a boatload of movies from Blockbuster. The rating of the film didn't matter, so I always ended choosing R-rated horror flicks with the worst plot lines and makeup effects possible.

My 10 Favorite Dance Scenes from '80s Movies

I was born in 1980, so it's hard for me not to like everything about that decade. I remember wearing suspenders that had silver Michael Jackson gloves attached to them, and blasting Madonna's "Like a Virgin" even though I was 5 years old and clueless about its meaning. I used to watch bootleg VHS copies of My Little Pony and  He-Man that my sister would send my brother and I in the mail. And of course, I rocked the side ponytail like it was my job.

30 Awesome Songs That Feature Numbers in Their Title

Songs are all about numbers. They're about the number of times you repeat the hooks, the number of lyrics you have and the number of beats you have per line. For mainstream artists, songs are also about the number of weeks it takes to get to #1 on the Billboard charts.

Top 10 Bizarre Flavored Instant Noodles

Being half Korean, I grew up eating instant noodles on a weekly basis. My mom used to put  everything in instant noodles,  including eggs, kimchi, fish cakes, spam and jalapenos. Instant noodles were cheap and easy to make, especially for me and my brother, who often had to cook for ourselves while our mom was out working two jobs.

Top 10 In Living Color Music Parodies

I'm a huge fan of comedy and hip hop, and there's no other show that combined these two things better than In Living Color. In Living Color, created by brothers Keenan and Damon Wayans, aired between 1990-1994 on Fox, a time when the network was at its all-time peak airing other controversial shows like Beverly Hills, 90210, New York Undercover and the X-Files.

Gary Coleman Street Art is Painted with Diff'rent Strokes

Gary Coleman was best known as the cute and cuddly Arnold Jackson on the TV sitcom Diff’rent Strokes. Although he passed away in May 2010, his pop culture image lives on thanks to this Italian artist.

Top 5 Reasons Why Christian Bale is Awesome

I've been a fan of Christian Bale ever since I saw him in the 1987 Steven Spielberg film Empire of the Sun. He was a talented 13 year old back then, and he's a talented 38 year old now. He's had quite an eclectic range of movie roles in his film career, ranging from playing a singing newsboy in Disney's 1992 film Newsies to playing a deranged serial killer in 2000's American Psycho.

Top 10 Highlights from the Firefly Music Festival 2012

Back in the day you used to be able to see your favorite band perform for a few bucks at a local dive bar or in a mall food court. But today the rising cost of concert tickets is shocking. According to ABCnews, "A ticket to a Rolling Stones concert cost about $8 in 1969. Today, it can cost you up to $350 to get into a Stones show."

10 Awesome Hip Hop Songs You May Not Know

I've been a fan of hip hop music ever since I was in middle school. After my mom, my brother and I moved to Newport News, Virginia, I became surrounded by Cross Colours-wearing, Starter jacket-sporting, R&B and hip hop-rapping fools.
